CHILDHOOD TRAUMA
Our childhood has a way of mapping how the rest may look, the ways we coped back then often remain the same throughout life. We call this survival strategy patterning, as humans we adapt ourselves to best fit and manage our environment. It can look like patterns of avoidance, people pleasing, turning away, minimizing, being the household mediator, feeling responsible for others feelings above your own. Coupled with states of dysregulation - fight/flight or shut down. This process pulls us further out of ourselves, creating greater internal and external feelings of disconnection. Lending an experience of a deep aloneness, shame, mistrust of ourselves or others.
We are cyclical beings, often the reenactment continues if we don’t intervene. Feeling stuck watching the same things unfold in your life, yet not knowing how to change it.
I help people unearth the internal wounding from Trauma, utilizing methods that work with the nervous system sequence of how those experiences have been stored in the body. Addressing the root cause is the path to long term relief. Freeing yourself from reaction vs. response, gaining greater sense of freedom and agency, reestablishing feelings of internal and relational safety.
